Adunan Brownies

Lama betul tak update. Sorrylah kawan-kawan, bukannya buzy, malas atau gi bercuti tapi terpaksa berehat kat rumah. Long MC, 39 hari disebabkan pembedahan. Baru semalam kembali bekerja. Internet kat rumah tu slow sangat. Tak sempat lagi nak tukar ke broadband.... Disebabkan pembedahan maka tak dapatlah saya buat kerja berat. Dua minggu lebih berehat dari dapur. Tapi itulah kita orang perempuan mana boleh duduk diam. Rimas rasanya. Bagi mengatasi kebosanan tersebut sempatlah saya menjahit sulaman manik untuk dua pasang baju kurung anakku untuk dua minggu pertama cuti rehat tu. Baju sendiri tak sempat jahit manik sebab bajunya tak siap lagi, terlambat hantar tempah.. Tak apa akan saya usahakan kemudian.

Masuk minggu ketiga, terasa diri dah sihat sikit. Dah mula kedapur. Kalau ikutkan hati ada aje yang nak ku eksperimentkan. Sementara menghabiskan MC tu sempatlah beberapa resepi simple yang kucuba. Jom Layaan!

Raspberry Cheese Brownies

Ingredients :

Brownies
315g unsalted butter (dice) ( I used salted butter )
125g chocolate powder ( I used coco powder)
270g castor sugar
300g raspberry jam ( I used Strawberry jam)
5 eggs (lightly beaten)
1 1/2 tsp vanilla essence
230g plain flour
1/4 tsp baking soda

Cheese topping
325g cream cheese ( at room temperature)
90g castor sugar
1 egg
1 egg yolk
1/2 tsp vanilla essence
160g fresh raspberries (optional, I omit this)

Garnishing ( I omit this)
Some chocolate cream
Some almond flakes ( toasted)

Method:
Brownies
1. In a saucepan, melt butter over low heat.
2. Add in chocolate powder and cook until mixture bubbles.
3. Removes from heat and stir sugar and jam.
4. Gradually, add in eggs and essence and stir until well combined.
5. Fold in flour and soda.
6. Pour batter into prepared cake tin. Meanwhile, prepare cheese topping.

Cheese Topping
1. Beat cheese and sugar until light and creammy.
2. Add in essence and eggs.
3. Place batter into a piping bag. Pipe batter over no.6 ( brownies batter).
4. Drop in raspberries/ strawberries ( optional).
5. Use a skewer or satay stick to swirl cheese mixture into the chocalate mixture to create a marble effect.
6. Baked for 40 minutes or until baked through.
7. Cut and serve brownies while still warm. Place a dollop of ice cream on top of brownies and top with sauce and almond flakes. Brownies can be stored in a air-tight container and kept chilled. Heat up in a microwave before serving.



Actually saya buat brownies ni sebab ada majlis port luck kat offis suami. Baru keluar oven terus dipotong sebab dia dah nak pergi kerja. Inform saya last minute...


Kawan2nya kata sedap. Mixture of chocolate dan cheese tu memang kena. Makan pula masa panas... Bagi yang tak suka banyak cheese, kira oklah macam ni. Ada kawan2nya yang cakap asyik teringat2 cheese brownies tu. Nak minta buat lagilah tu...


Beginilah lebih kurang step nak buat cheese brownies tu.
